While there is no cure for glaucoma, there are treatments available to manage the condition. The most common treatment is medication to lower the pressure in the eye. This can be done with a medication called diuretics, which help reduce the amount of fluid in the eye. Other treatments may include laser treatment or surgery to relieve the pressure on the optic nerve. If left untreated, glaucoma can cause permanent vision loss. It is important to seek medical attention if you experience any symptoms of the condition, such as increased eye pressure, blurred vision, or the sensation of a paste in the eye. Early treatment can help prevent the progression of the disease and preserve vision.
