Uterine prolapse, also known as fallopian tube prolapse, is a medical condition in which the fallopian tubes, which normally keep the eggs and sperm separate, rupture and the eggs or sperm become intertwined. This condition can cause infertility and may also increase the risk of ectopic pregnancy. It is estimated that the incidence of fallopian tube prolapse is about 1 in 5000 women. Treatment options include surgery and medication.
