About the Disease
Rickets, also known as vitamin d deficiency, is related to vitamin d-dependent rickets, type 3 and dent disease 1, and has symptoms including back pain, muscle cramp and sciatica. An important gene associated with Rickets is PHEX (Phosphate Regulating Endopeptidase X-Linked), and among its related pathways/superpathways are Metabolism of steroids and Regulation of Insulin-like Growth Factor (IGF) transport and uptake by Insulin-like Growth Factor Binding Proteins (IGFBPs).
